Requirements
to Play at the Playhouse
Below are the requirements before your dog can become a Playhouse playmate:

Age - We accept dogs/puppies as young as 12 weeks old as long as they have completed
their 2nd set of vaccinations including Bordetella (kennel cough).  We believe that puppies
need to be socialized with adult dogs to "learn the ropes".  Puppies learn how to play
correctly, and the right doggie language to use.  Older dogs provide a built-in training for
younger dogs.  We watch closely to make sure young puppies are being corrected nicely
and don't get overstimulated.

Personality assessment - This is a play time where we watch your dog to make sure
they would be a good daycare dog.  We will be monitoring your dog for stresses such as
fear or aggressiveness including toy possessiveness.  The assessment lasts between 2
and 4 hours depending upon previous dog play experiences.  Drop off your dog to play,
and then pick up at the designated time.
There is a non-refundable fee for this
assessment.  The charge is between $7 (2 hour) and $15 (4 hours). The fee covers
playtime and monitoring of your dog for issues that could potentially be harmful to other
playmates.

Spayed or Neutered - All playmates (puppies over 6 months old) are required to be
spayed or neutered.

Flea-Free - All playmates are expected to be on
a continuing flea treatment program, and owners will
sign a waiver stating this understanding.

Current Vaccinations -  All playmates are required to be current on all vaccinations
recommended by your Vet including Rabies, DHLPP/DHPP (Distempter, Hepatitis,
Leptosprosis, Parainfluenza, Parvo) and Bordatella (Canine cough).  Documentation from
your Vet is required before the personality assessment and prior to play.
NO EXCEPTIONS!

Healthy - All playmates must be in relatively good health.  If there are health issues,
they will need to be discussed PRIOR to enrollment in the Playhouse.

Collars - A collar and leash are required while the dog is in your control (both inside and
outside of the building).  We remove the collar while in the play area, to reduce the
chances of injury.  We will place the collar in your personalized bin for pick up at the end
of the day.

People & Dog Friendly - Playmates should not be
aggressive towards other dogs or people, and cannot
be toy or people possessive.  Remember, your dog
will be playing with other dogs.
