Friends - Dogs need friends too, and at Playhouse 4 Paws, they will make friends just like you do.
Our fur kid playmates love coming each week to see their friends again!
Boredom - Dogs enjoy being around other dogs and in a pack.  In essence, your home is a pack, and
when you leave, dogs need to resort to keeping themselves entertained.  This results in digging, barking,
rummaging through the trash, chewing up anything and everything, and being lonely, which can cause
separation anxiety.
Health - At daycare, your dog will be running, playing and getting lots of exercise, which has many
benefits - Keeping weight off, and burning all that pent up energy.  This results in a happy, healthy,
tuckered-out dog!
Socialization - While at the Playhouse, your dog will be practicing "doggie play manners" and
learning to listen to doggie language.  Puppies or dogs that haven't been around other dogs didn't learn how
to be socially acceptable in the dog world.  Rear sniffing and other rituals are important in dog language,
as are other behaviors that dogs do.  We help timid, shy, or obnoxious dogs learn the correct way to
interact with other dogs.  By learning from others in the pack, dogs grow socially and become the type of
dog that can play with most dogs, in many environments.

Do you want to bring your dog to daycare?  Click       for information on
how to get started.
For the safety of all our playmates, each dog is required to pass a personality evaluation and be current on all
shots as recommended by their vet, including DHLPP and Bordatella.  Rabies vaccines are required for puppies
over 4 months of age.  Please click
here for information regarding these requirements.

What will my dog be doing all day?

7:00 am to 9:30 am - Dogs arrive for their fun day of play.  The dogs are so
happy to come and play with their friends, many times they drag their parents
through the door, or begin getting excited even on the drive here!
During this time the dogs run around playing with each other and greeting
each new dog that arrives to play.

9:30 am to 12:00 pm - Lots of toys, balls, chase and wrestling.  The dogs find
their friends and play chase with the toys, climbing on the play cube or
running around after each other.

12:00 - 12:30 pm - Pick up time for morning half-day play dogs.  Staff puts
away all toys and readies the play area for nap time, including soft music and
dimmed lights.

12:30 pm to 2:00 pm - Nap time!  All dogs lay down and rest on futons, chairs,
mats or the floor.  During this time staff are in with the dogs making sure
everyone is resting quietly.

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Afternoon play!  Dogs are ready for the second shift of
play after their rest.  Some new dogs come to play in the afternoons, so the
dogs welcome any new arrivals.

5:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Time for doggies to go home feeling happy, tired and
fulfilled from playing with their pack all day!
